Nicole has been playing chess since Grade 5, after joining her school chess club. She found it was a unique and fun experience, and now she is passionate about teaching chess in schools herself! Nicole has participated in many chess tournaments over the years, and won the prestigious title of Australian Girls’ Champion in 2013 (under the coaching of Dark Horse Chess). She is passionate about passing on her knowledge to younger players, and structures her lessons to ensure students have both an educational and fun experience. Nicole is a fantastic role model in particular for young female chess players, showing them that girls can be sensational at chess too! In her spare time, she loves night time photography, sketching, and going to art galleries. She finds these activities very calming and peaceful.
