School Coaching Program Information
Our School Coaching Program provides students with the opportunity to participate in weekly chess classes to learn all about chess – from the basics to advanced strategies and tactics.
Students have the chance to learn a new skill each week and to practice applying the skills learned in fun games with other members of their group.
Our program is suitable for all levels, from absolute beginners to top-level junior players.
Sessions are generally held at the following times:
- Before School
- After School
School chess classes typically run for 50 minutes.
In addition to our standard term-long chess program, Dark Horse Chess also offer the following:
- Half or full-day Chess Incursions
- Specialised small-group training
- Integrating chess into the school curriculum
Our fees for standard School Chess Classes is $11 per child per class (inc. GST), with a minimum of 9 children in a class.
